We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and client-centered Associate Mental Health Counselor to join our growing team. This position is designed for recent graduates pursuing Florida licensure who want to build a rewarding clinical career within a supportive, team-oriented organization.
Compensation
$40.00–$50.00 per completed clinical hour
What You’ll Do
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide individual behavioral health counseling within your scope of practice.
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and intake evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as appropriate.
- Coordinate care with primary care providers, referral sources, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
- Identify and appropriately respond to crisis situations and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance, professional ethics, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Participate in clinical consultation, case review, and professional development activities.
- Foster strong therapeutic relationships that promote client engagement and positive outcomes.
Qualifications
Required
- Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI), Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI), or Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern (RMFTI) in the State of Florida.
- Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Eligible to provide behavioral health services in Florida.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to ethical, client-centered, culturally responsive care.
Preferred
- Experience providing counseling services during internship or practicum.
- Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Experience in outpatient behavioral healthcare.
- Familiarity with insurance-based behavioral health practices.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

- Or another closely related behavioral health field
License / Certification
One of the following is required:

Applicants must maintain active registration and remain in good standing with the applicable Florida licensing board throughout employment.
Schedule
- Full-Time (35 hours per week) or Part-Time opportunities available.

Clinical supervision required for independent licensure is the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise provided through a separate written agreement.

Applicants must be able to travel to assigned office locations as needed to provide in-person services, attend meetings, or participate in training.
